The narrow L shaped house defines the edges of the boundaries along the two streets of this corner lot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Placing the two story volume along the two streets and defining the edges of the corner lot, opens up the lot for maximum usage of the backyard and space for a future pool. Clerestory windows and a fully open first floor allow for transparency throughout the home. An Engawa deck is designed as the transition from outside to inside and provides sitting edge, while the larch wood façade provides privacy from those looking inward and transparency for those looking out.
